Junior and Seniors - Release of Information to Military

Notification of Intent to Release Junior/Senior Student Information to Military Recruiters Without Prior Consent

Under the No Child Left Behind Act, public high schools that receive federal funds must release the name, address, and phone number of juniors and seniors to military recruiters unless a parent/guardian makes a request to us not to release their child’s information.  If students are 18 years of age or older, they may make a request as well.

To request information be withheld from recruiters, KHS parents/guardians, or students are required to put their request in writing to KHS Principal’s Office, 43 Arch Street, Keene, NH  03431 or email Mary Striffolino Secretary to the Principal,  at mstriffolino@sau29.org by September 30, 2015.  We will provide rosters to military recruiters after October 1, 2015.  Parents and students who have already made this request in previous years do not have to submit the request again.

Photo Waivers

Photo and Video Waiver

Periodically NH School Administrative Unit 29/ KHS publishes printed material, prepares PowerPoint presentations, and updates web sites that may use photographs of students in a classroom or school setting.  Names of students are not used except to celebrate achievement.  If you do not want your child’s photo used, please notify the KHS Principal’s Office by letter or by the above email by September 30.
